Chat Room ?

Hi, The more I am observing this forum more I am impressed about it's members and such a huge intellegent community...

But I think something is missed here... A good Chat room.

Look how many members are there in online...but none can talk instantly...

What do you think?

Actually we are supposed to have a chat event every friday, but I have been so busy with other things. I hope to get them running agian soon.
 
Hmm...It was may be in the old forum...

But why you tell about business?
This forum is full of members every time I enter...
 

Thread 'Thank you to mentors, advisors and members'

I want to thank those members who interacted with me a couple of years ago in two Optics Forum threads. They were @Drakkith, @hutchphd, @Gleb1964, and @KAHR-Alpha. I had something I wanted the scientific community to know and slipped a new idea in against the rules. Thank you also to @berkeman for suggesting paths to meet with academia. Thread 'Thank you physics forums, 20 years later'

About 20 years ago, in my mid-30s (and with a BA in economics and a master's in business), I started taking night classes in physics hoping to eventually earn the science degree I'd always wanted but never pursued.
