What do you mean by pins? uC chips are generally soldered to a PC Board (PCB) -- are you referring to some connector that is on your uC board? What does it look like?

Or are you asking about sockets for uC chips?
 
Microprocessor i should say. Using an arduino/IOIO, looking for solid connection

Could you please post a picture and/or a datasheet for the board? I did a Google search, and got conflicting info.
