SUMMARY

This discussion centers on creating holograms for beginners, emphasizing the use of specific tools such as lasers, isolation tables, and spreading optics. Participants highlight the accessibility of holography, suggesting that even those without a strong background in physics or mathematics can successfully create simple holograms. A recommended resource is the LitiHolo hologram kits, which provide an easy and enjoyable way to experiment with holography. Overall, the conversation encourages exploration in this fascinating field, regardless of prior knowledge.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of laser technology
  • Familiarity with optical components such as isolation tables and spreading optics
  • Interest in photography and visual arts
  • Willingness to experiment with hands-on projects
NEXT STEPS
  • Research LitiHolo hologram kits for practical experimentation
  • Explore online tutorials on basic holography techniques
  • Study the principles of light interference and diffraction
  • Watch YouTube videos demonstrating hologram creation
USEFUL FOR

This discussion is beneficial for photography enthusiasts, hobbyists interested in optics, and anyone looking to explore the fundamentals of holography without extensive technical knowledge.

hello!
i am trying to make a hologram. buy lasers, isolation table, spreading optic, etc...
I have no idea of phisics or maths, i study photography but the subject interests me so much. I have a few books about it. Do you think it is possible to make a simple hologram without any knowledge of physics?
thanks, any help is wellcome

:welcome:

I can find hundreds of videos on YouTube about making holograms.

If you are not expert at math, then your question should not be tagged A for advanced.

I had students use these in optics lab:

It's really easy to use (and a lot of fun).
