Discussion Overview

The discussion centers around designing hardware for a logic table using logic gates, specifically addressing the configuration needed to achieve two outputs as indicated in an attachment. The conversation involves exploring various logic gate combinations and their applications in circuit design.

Discussion Character

  • Technical explanation, Debate/contested, Homework-related

Main Points Raised

  • One participant requests assistance in designing hardware for a logic table using logic gates.
  • Another participant mentions the availability of various two-input logic gates, including AND, NAND, OR, and NOR gates.
  • There is a query about how to incorporate XOR and XNOR gates to achieve two outputs as per the attachment.
  • One participant questions whether the request is for homework.
  • A participant clarifies that the design is for a personal circuit rather than homework and expresses uncertainty about achieving the desired signal.
  • Another participant suggests a configuration using one XOR gate and two AND gates as a potential solution.
  • One participant insists that the request is not homework and shares a solution involving two AND gates and two NOT gates, claiming to have figured out a trick.
  • A later reply suggests that the design could also be implemented using a quad NOR integrated circuit.

Areas of Agreement / Disagreement

Participants express differing views on whether the request is for homework, with some insisting it is not while others treat it as such. Multiple approaches to the design are proposed, indicating that no consensus on a single solution exists.

Contextual Notes

There are unresolved questions regarding the specific requirements of the logic table and the assumptions about the desired outputs. The discussion does not clarify the exact nature of the signals to be achieved.

Hello Forum , please can someone help me to design the hardware of this table of logic (by the use of the logic gate) , the table is in the attachment.
Thanks in advance

There are two-input logic gates besides ANDs, NANDs, ORs, and NORs.

XOR and XNOR , but how i can manage them to have 2 output like in the attachment ?

Is this homework?

no it's not home work , i want it to my circuit and i don't know if i can reach such signal

I can do it with one XOR and two ANDs. Is this what you want?

We will treat it as homework, so you need to do the work.

thanks bob , i make it with 2 AND and 2 NOT( i catch the tric), it's not a homework , believe me :-).

If you are actually going to build it, you can implement it with one quad nor IC.
