hi there. Can someone explain to me these two topics? thanks

Calculus is a BIG topic. Are there any specifics?

yeah, differentiation and integration as i said in the title

As Hootenanny said, the topic is very big. We can't just "explain" them here while you can fill entire books. We could give a brief introduction, but these things can be easily found on the internet! Try wikipedia for example, or just google for it.

That isn't specific at all. Maybe if you could explain why you want to learn about these topics it would help us to narrow down what exactly you need to know about them..

We could start with a few questions:
1. Do you know what a function is?
2. Do you know what is meant by the word "limit"?
3. Do you know what is meant by "continuity"?

and do you know this is the homework section; there is a whole subforum elsewhere on this site dedicated to these questions.

Differentiation and intergration is pretty much the whole of calculus.

perhaps you guys know of any good web-sites or e-books that cover pre-calculus and calculus maths for newbies...?

There are some sites I often use such as:
+ Wikipedia, this is an online encyclopedia, and it has a lot of mathematical articles.
+ MathWorld, this is Wolfram's site. It has a lot of advanced articles in mathematics.
And of course, one of the most reliable sources is your textbook. :)
