Does being a loop integral change the integration method?

I am just curious, when you perform a loop integral, does the fact that it is a loop integral change the way you integrate, or is it just there to tell you that you are integrating in a loop?

It doesn't change the way you integrate
But there are theorems regarding specifically integrals over close curves, that do not apply for other integrals.
