Does we here at PF have an official mascot? If not, I vote for Salmon. Or perhaps a Lionfish. And if all else fails, the Hypnotoad.

Yes. She is called Evo.

Could be a downside to that. We could be shut down by PETA.

Strangely, killing the cat wouldn't be animal cruelty, per se, but how would we prove the cat has adequate air, food, and water?

Zoobie can capture a scene in photographic detail. Scary!

If you want an easily-scaled cartoon as a mascot image, Zooby's talents would be mis-spent, IMO. He could pull it off, but his photo-realistic drawings are very far away from that type of sketching. I could be 100% wrong, and the Zoobs is constantly cartooning and sketching when he is not refining his drawings.

Phinds would make a MUCH better mascot than Evo. Phinds is housebroken after all.

I second a cat, or something similar and anthropomorphised. You can do things with it (well, other people with artistic skills can). For example, have it playing with a balloon with galaxies drawn on it, or be sneakily removing the poison from the box, or correcting (or "correcting") equations on a whiteboard.

Alternatively, I have a vote in for this little guy.

Sounds good to me. But I don't think we could top this. IMO

two thoughts a puffin (conveniently has PF initials inside)

or a St Bernard (carries its own refreshment) rescues people from dire straits (like students lost in the wilderness of learning)
