Hello everyone, newb member here but been loving Physics Forum for quite some time. I'm an Australian biologist with chemisty/earth sciences/psychology co-majors at uni in the 70s and 17 years research experience mainly in neuroscience in medical schools. Bit of tutoring, bit of plant physiology and marine ecology thrown in. Loved physics at high school and would have become a physicist, but too much maths lost due to illness. I'm 're-learning' physics as it is now in the 21st - big changes, exciting time to be alive!

Hi Dianne Thrussell. :welcome:

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
