The discussion revolves around a playful yet critical examination of a wealth calculator that equates income with wealth. Participants share their experiences using the tool, revealing humorous and exaggerated results about their financial status. Many express skepticism about the accuracy of the tool, noting that it fails to consider expenses, which can significantly impact true wealth. The conversation highlights the disparity between income and actual living conditions, with some participants joking about feeling "rich" despite low incomes due to relative satisfaction or living standards. There are also reflections on global wealth inequality, with references to the wealth of the richest individuals compared to the poorest. Overall, the thread underscores the complexities of defining wealth beyond mere income figures.

It told me I made over $8,200.00 per hour by UK standards. I input my income as US dollars. I think at a certain point it can no longer calculate.

Well, all I know is that entering $240,000 US gets the same results as Evo did.

And I was just wondering if the position of "kept man" was still available.

Expenses far exceed my income. Two girls in college and an eldery sick mother. I'm broke.

Isn't that sort of the point? You can control expenses even more easily than you can control income. It would be disingenous for you (or any other wealthy person) to claim that they somehow can't avoid those expenses.

If you cut down on your expenses, depending on what industry you're in, it would probably mean you hurt your income more as new business does not take you seriously.

And anyway the programme cuts off at about $210,000 a year and also it doesn't let you be poorer than 92%.
