AI Thread Summary
To determine the velocity and time for a projectile thrown to a height of 2 meters and traveling 30 meters horizontally, the problem must be clarified as a projectile motion scenario. The vertical motion can be analyzed using the height and gravitational acceleration, while the horizontal motion relates to the distance traveled. The time to reach the maximum height can be calculated using the formula for vertical motion, and the horizontal velocity can be derived from the total distance and time. The discussion emphasizes the need for clear definitions of the projectile's launch conditions to apply the correct equations. Accurate calculations depend on understanding whether the projectile is launched at an angle or horizontally.

1. Homework Statement

height in the y direction=2 meters
mass=142grams
gravity/accelaration=9.81m/s2
velocity in the x direction=? we have to find out
time=?? we have to find out
distance=3o meters

2. Homework Equations

we have to find out the velocity and time

3. The Attempt at a Solution

i don't understand it so i need it with the formula and what u did
please i need this before i go to bed so in the next 20 minutes

Your problem is not clear. Is this a projectile being launched at an angle and reaches a maximum height of 2 meters? Or is this a projectile launched horizontally from a height of 2 meters?

well my teacher siad that he threw the basebal and it went two meters up and then went 30 meters in the x direction

that's all i know

Thread 'Voltmeter readings for this circuit with switches'
TL;DR Summary: I would like to know the voltmeter readings on the two resistors separately in the picture in the following cases , When one of the keys is closed When both of them are opened (Knowing that the battery has negligible internal resistance) My thoughts for the first case , one of them must be 12 volt while the other is 0 The second case we'll I think both voltmeter readings should be 12 volt since they are both parallel to the battery and they involve the key within what the...
Thread 'Struggling to make relation between elastic force and height'
Hello guys this is what I tried so far. I used the UTS to calculate the force it needs when the rope tears. My idea was to make a relationship/ function that would give me the force depending on height. Yeah i couldnt find a way to solve it. I also thought about how I could use hooks law (how it was given to me in my script) with the thought of instead of having two part of a rope id have one singular rope from the middle to the top where I could find the difference in height. But the...
