hi i want to find out the bending moment of a beam at a distance from one end is given by M=1/2[tex]\omega[/tex] (lx-x^2) where [tex]\omega[/tex]and l are constant. how do we find maximum value and why its maximum value i would realli apreciate it if someone would help me

hi airmarshal! welcome to pf!

(have an omega: ω and try using the X2 tag just above the Reply box )

either differentiate wrt x, or complete the square
