A spring having a free height of 4.25 inches is only 3.15 inches high when it supports a load of five pounds. What is the spring constant?

k = (w2-w1)/(x2-x1)
The Attempt at a Solution
K = (5-0)/(4.25-3.15) = 4.55 lb/in
the book gives the right answer as 36.4lb/in
did I do anything wrong?
