SUMMARY

The discussion focuses on optimal driving techniques for Galva motors, specifically utilizing the LMD18200 3A H-Bridge Stepper Driver. Users emphasize the importance of not exceeding 2 amps for effective performance. Additionally, inquiries about the motor's pin configuration (Ia, Ib, Diode common) and requests for circuit schematics highlight the need for clear application notes to guide users in their implementations.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Galva motor specifications and operation
  • Familiarity with the LMD18200 3A H-Bridge Stepper Driver
  • Basic electronics knowledge, including circuit design
  • Knowledge of current limitations in motor driving applications
NEXT STEPS
  • Research Galva motor pin configurations and their applications
  • Explore circuit schematics for the LMD18200 driver
  • Learn about current limiting techniques in motor drivers
  • Investigate alternative drivers for higher current applications
USEFUL FOR

Engineers, hobbyists, and technicians involved in motor control applications, particularly those working with Galva motors and stepper drivers.

Hello Forum , i would like to ask you : i have a motor galva motor http://www.cambridgetechnology.com/products/6200/6210.html" , is it a good way to drive it in such way , or maybe you have another ideas ?
thanks in advance,
Have a nice day

I have used the Bipolar CMOS integrated LMD18200 3A H-Bridge Stepper Driver, but not above 2 amps.

Hi Bob , thanks for your comment.
>but not above than 2A<
How much PPM for this limit ?
About the pin 1,2 and 3 of the galva motor, (Ia,Ib,Diode common),Do you have some simple circuit scheme showing their usage (e.g. Application Note) ?
Thanks in advance,
Havea nice day.
