Getting Started with Vehicle Chassis Design

Hi,

I am looking for bearing in chassis design of vehicles...what i want to know is how do i proceed with chassis design? As in, where do i start, what do i do next? and next?

Just need an outline, coz i do have some books i am trying to get started on...
