    Applied Max
In summary, applied problem-solving in science is a systematic approach to identifying and analyzing complex problems and finding solutions to them. The maximum value in a dataset can be determined by finding the largest number in the set, which can provide valuable insights into the data. Similarly, the minimum value in a dataset can also offer important information about the data and help understand a problem or phenomenon. However, while max and min values can be useful in understanding a situation, they should not be solely relied upon to predict future outcomes. Other factors and variables should also be taken into consideration.

1. A drug that stimulates reproduction is introduced into a colony of bacteria. After t minutes, the number of bacteria is given approximately by N() = 1500 + 12t^2 - t^3, 0≤t≤50 At what value of t is the number of bacteria maximal?

2. Possible answers

a. 10min b. 9min c.8min d.0min

provide steps please :D

thnx!

And even if you didn't know how to do what hunt_mat suggested you could simply plug in the values and compare what you get...

1. What is the purpose of applied problem-solving in science?

Applied problem-solving in science is a systematic approach to identifying and analyzing complex problems and finding solutions to them. It involves using scientific methods and theories to understand and address real-world issues.

2. How does one determine the maximum value in a dataset?

The maximum value in a dataset can be determined by finding the largest number in the set. This can be done by sorting the data in ascending or descending order and identifying the last value in the set. Alternatively, many statistical software programs have built-in functions for finding the maximum value in a dataset.

3. What is the significance of finding the minimum value in a dataset?

The minimum value in a dataset is the smallest number in the set and can provide important insights into the data. It can help identify outliers or anomalies, determine the range of values in the dataset, and inform decisions about the dataset's overall distribution.

4. How can one use max and min values to understand a problem or phenomenon?

The maximum and minimum values in a dataset can provide valuable information about a problem or phenomenon. They can help identify extremes or boundaries, reveal patterns or trends, and provide a basis for comparisons between different data sets or scenarios.

5. Can max and min values be used to predict future outcomes?

While max and min values can provide important insights into a problem or phenomenon, they should not be relied upon as predictors of future outcomes. Other factors and variables should also be considered when making predictions or forecasts.
