SUMMARY

The discussion centers on the existence of a closed formula for n-point correlation functions in Conformal Field Theory (CFT). Matt inquires about the availability of such a formula, particularly beyond the commonly referenced cases up to n=4. The consensus is that no closed formula exists for n-point functions in CFT, confirming the limitations found in most literature.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Conformal Field Theory (CFT)
  • Familiarity with correlation functions in quantum field theory
  • Knowledge of anharmonic ratios
  • Basic comprehension of mathematical formulations in theoretical physics
NEXT STEPS
  • Research advanced topics in Conformal Field Theory
  • Explore correlation functions in quantum field theory
  • Study anharmonic ratios and their applications
  • Examine literature on n-point functions beyond n=4
USEFUL FOR

The discussion is beneficial for theoretical physicists, graduate students in quantum field theory, and researchers focusing on advanced topics in Conformal Field Theory.

Hi,

Does anyone know if there's a closed formula for the n-point function in a CFT? Up to anharmonic ratios, of course. Most books just have it up until n=4.

Thanks,
Matt

There isn't.

That's what I suspected. Thanks!
