I'm a new member; I joined because I am interested in the application of science to public policy, with an emphasis on making scientific topics understandable to the general public. Past experience includes 25 years at Westinghouse Research Labs and more recently, 12 years teaching mathematics and programming in colleges and universities in Western Pennsylvania. For awhile I'll simply look at the existing forums and topics.
