SUMMARY

Electrical Engineering (EE) undergraduates often face the challenge of balancing study time with work commitments. Many students report needing to study more than their peers in other majors to maintain a high GPA, particularly when working 25-30 hours per week. Personal aptitude plays a significant role in academic success, with some students thriving with minimal study while others struggle despite extensive effort. The curriculum is designed to gradually introduce complexity, aiding students in managing their workload effectively.

I'm really interested in EE and want to maintain a high gpa. I hear that EEs tend to study more in their majors. I need to work atleast 25-30 hours a week to support myself.

Welcome to PF;
I have done this - I did a 60-70 hour week at one stage so it can be done.
However a lot depends on personal aptitude - I knew people who were struggling in their courses without having to work and others who barely needed to study at all.
If you are anything like me you will need to coordinate a social life and any kind of a love interest will kill your gpa.
Fortunately the courses ease you into it.
