How to Create a Step Load in Simulink for Frequency Observation?

Click For Summary
Creating a step load in Simulink is essential for observing frequency and slew rate in a system where a diesel engine drives an asynchronous motor. The user has already built most of the circuit and is utilizing Sim Power Systems in MATLAB version 12 from 2009. Guidance is sought on implementing the step load effectively within this setup. The discussion emphasizes the need for specific instructions or examples to achieve the desired frequency observation. Overall, the focus is on enhancing the simulation for better analysis of engine performance.

Hi

Would anyone be able to give me some guidance on creating a step load in Simulink, I need this type of loading to observe frequency (slew rate) when a diesel engine with voltage control drives a asynchronous motor. I have most of the circuit built and am using Sim power systems mat lab v12 2009.

Thanks

I attach a layout of my progress thus far
