To enter the expression [x]/x on a TI-84 Plus calculator for graphing, users should input it as \frac{\sqrt{x^{2}}}{x} to avoid syntax errors. The calculator requires specific formatting for fractions, and using the square root function helps clarify the expression. It's essential to ensure that the syntax aligns with the calculator's requirements to prevent errors. Following this method will allow for successful graphing of the function. Proper notation is crucial for accurate calculations on the TI-84 Plus.

Question: A clock's minute hand has length 4 and its hour hand has length 3. What is the distance between the tips at the moment when it is increasing most rapidly?(Putnam Exam Question) Answer: Making assumption that both the hands moves at constant angular velocities, the answer is ## \sqrt{7} .## But don't you think this assumption is somewhat doubtful and wrong?
