SUMMARY

To find the center of gravity (CG) of a two-wheeler bike weighing 116 kg, along with the CG of a rider (70 kg) and a passenger (80 kg), one must use the principles of static equilibrium. The CG can be calculated using the formula: CG = (m1 * d1 + m2 * d2 + m3 * d3) / (m1 + m2 + m3), where m represents mass and d represents distance from a reference point. Experimental methods may also be employed for more accurate results, especially in real-world scenarios.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of static equilibrium principles
  • Familiarity with mass and distance measurement
  • Basic knowledge of physics formulas related to center of gravity
  • Experience with experimental methods for physical calculations
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the application of the center of gravity in vehicle dynamics
  • Learn about static equilibrium and its relevance in engineering
  • Explore experimental methods for determining CG in various vehicles
  • Study the impact of CG on vehicle stability and handling
USEFUL FOR

Mechanical engineers, automotive designers, physics students, and anyone involved in vehicle dynamics and stability analysis.

hi
can anyone tell me how to find cg location(height ,position) for two wheeler bike weighing 116 kg....and also the cg of a person(70kg) riding the vehicle and cg of passenger(80kg )sitting at the back......please tell me the procedure in brief to calculate cg of vehicle,rider,passenger...

You can find formulas at Wikipedia, for example, and I am sure they would have been easy to find for you as well. If you have specific questions about those formulas, feel free to ask.
In a real setup, you might need some approximations, or just determine it experimentally.
