The discussion focuses on identifying logic gates based on their inputs of 1 and 0 and corresponding outputs. For an output of 0, the gates that fit include AND, NOR, and XNOR. For an output of 1, the gates include OR, NAND, and XOR. It is noted that the question is poorly framed, as multiple gates can match the given outputs, making it impossible to uniquely identify a gate with just one line of its truth table. The consensus is that while multiple gates can satisfy the conditions, the lack of specificity in the question limits definitive identification.

Inputs of a gate are 1 & 0. Identify the gate if its output is
(a)0
(b)1
Attempt:
(a) And Gate but NOR and XNOR gates also match the description
(b)OR GATE alongwith NAND and XOR
So is writing down all the gates matching the requirements of the question (technically) correct?

It's a pretty bad question, but I suppose your answer is the best possible answer. You cannot uniquely identify the gate if you only know one line of its truth table.
