AI Thread Summary
Light is fundamentally an electromagnetic wave, consisting of time-varying electric and magnetic fields. This means that light sources generate these fields, which create the perception of vision. The relationship between light and electromagnetic fields highlights the nature of light as a manifestation of these fields. Understanding this connection enhances the appreciation of how we perceive light. The discussion emphasizes the fascinating interplay between light and electromagnetic phenomena.

well an introductory course on electromagnetic waves starts with lines like
Light is nothing but electromagnetic wave which themselves are nothing but time varying electric and magnetic fields.
well does that mean a source of light produces electric and magnetic field in disguise which are varying with time and that in turn gives a sense of vision?
