I read recently,

"It is a law of physics that light is strongest when it bends,"

Is this statement true, false or just confused in the way it is expressed?

Thanks :-)

Physics news on Phys.org
The only place I can find that wording is a nonsense book on astrology. If that's where you found it, do you really need to ask? This is physicsforums.com, not psychicforums.com.

I do need to ask because I don't know the answer.

D H,

Yes I did find it in a news letter that was sent to me by a friend of a friend about Astrology.

I thought it sounded like complete and utter garbage.

I am not a professor of physics so there was some possibility there was a nuance that was escaping me.

If I write to these people and say I think "you're full of it" I want to be sure I am correct.

You are correct. It is complete and utter garbage.

Thank you

Thanks for the explicit confirmation.

If they write back telling you the contents of your briefcase, then they are probably on to something. Well, even then it's more likely to be a lucky guess than psychic powers. Which is a shame, psychic superpowers would be sweet.
