Sylcap 284 is being compared to Sylgard 184 regarding permeability and usability. Sylgard has a minimum order quantity (MOQ) of 0.5kg, while Sylcap has a lower MOQ of 100g, making it more accessible for smaller projects. Users are advised to consult manufacturers for specific performance characteristics. Additionally, Sylcap is noted to cure faster than Sylgard, which may influence project timelines. Overall, Sylcap could be a viable alternative depending on the required permeability and project needs.
