I just listened to Vertigo on the net, and it rocks! U2 still has it! I will definitely be buying "How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb" on the 23rd. Anyone else heard it?

I've got the whole album already. It's great. My favorite songs are Vertigo, Miracle Drug, love and peace or else, and All because of you.

[edit] You might want to take down that link. It's illegal you know. (And don't ask where I got the album from. I'm sure you already know. )

I heard that song a little while ago. It is really good. Should be a good album. However, I still think the best album of the year (and in quite a long time) is American Idiot - Green Day. Woot!

I fixed it just to make dduardo happy.

Unos, dos, tres, catorce [1,2,3,14]

Turn it up loud, captain!

Lights go down
It's dark
The jungle is your head
Can't rule your heart
I'm feeling so much stronger
Than I thought
Your eyes are wide
And though your soul
it can't be bought
your mind can wander

Hello, Hello
Hola! [Spanish for Hello]
I'm at a place called vertigo (¿Dónde está?) [Where is it?]
It's everything I wish I didn't know
Except you give me something I can feel
Feel

The night is full of holes
Those bullets rip the sky
Of ink with gold
They twinkle as the boys play rock and roll
They know that they can't dance
At least they know

I can't stand the beat
I'm askin' for the cheque
Girl with crimson nails
Has Jesus 'round the neck
Swinging to the music
Swinging to the music
Woooao

Hello, Hello
Hola!
I'm at a place called Vertigo (¿Dónde está?) [Where is it?]
It's everything I wish I didn't know
But you give me something I can feel
Feel

All this, all this can be yours
All of this, all of this can be yours
All this, all of this can be yours
Just give me what I want
And no one gets hurt

Hello, Hello
Hola!
I'm at a place called Vertigo
Lights go down and all I know
Is that you give me something I can feel
You're teaching me ...aaahhh
Your love is teaching me ...aaaah
How to kneel
Kneel

Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah...
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!

U2: THE BEST

Wow that song sounded great! Awesome even!
But the lyrics are just meaningless.
What the hell was that??
The music though is amazingly good.

I'm with you. U2's lyrics are a bit strange. But The Edge's guitar cover with sound all these lyrics. It doesn't matter.

They are kinda like Marillion but more popular. Just look at any post 1990 Marillion lyrics and you will see what I mean...

Just one song name example - If my heart were a ball, it would roll uphill

Yep, but U2 have been around longer than Marillion anyway. It's odd to think but they formed in 1978.

Yes, and got told that they would never amount to anything, and that Bono didnt have the voice of a decent singer. The critics were a little bit wrong.

I have an edition of Rolling Stone, 1979, in which a buried article calls U2 "The Next Big Thing." It's kinda interesting that the writer of the article got it right, while the magazine editor hedged by making the article easily "lost" in the big pile (just in case the 2nd album sucked. Wait, the 2nd album did suck. Come on guys, it did.)

I despise the song Vertigo. Sorry to ruin the fan club. :( I just don't like the whole spanish thing going on.

I enjoy my Pink Floyd albums though. :)

Who cares your opinion?

Starting to learn spanish is the best thing you could do.

If you had written it here, I hope you know we are not going to enjoy your words

Yes Check, it sounds the same. It's wonderful, isn't it?. So it reminds me their greatest songs. They have their proper personality, so they don't go on wandering over there making new experiments. Could you imagine Elvis making a technopop song?. He would lose all his fans.

Heard the album "More" from Pink Floyd? There is some spanish in it...

As for U2...they so rock! Anyone ever see them live? Talk about fan appreciation! They are very energetic and lively in concert, I highly recommend seeing them if you get the chance.

It's not the spanish that i do not like. In fact, i quite like spanish music. It is how the spanish is sung inside the song.
