AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on calculating probabilities related to dating various ethnic groups. The probabilities of getting phone numbers from different groups are specified, with Latina and Asian girls having the highest likelihood at 30%. Questions posed include the probability of rejection from Latinas and Asians, and the likelihood of succeeding with every type of girl except Asians, which is calculated at 0.047%. The conversation also includes a metaphor about approaching opportunities in a measured way. The overall focus is on understanding and applying probability to social interactions.

Lets say I hit on 20 girls and the following probabilities are the probabilities they give me their numbers:
p(latina girls)=.30
p(white girls)=.15
p(black girls)=.15
p(asian girls)=.30
p(middle eastern girls)=.10

I got a couple of questions
a)what's the probability that I get rejected by latinas and asians?
b)what's the prob. i succeed w/ every type of girl except asians?

I was reading documentation about the soundness and completeness of logic formal systems. Consider the following $$\vdash_S \phi$$ where ##S## is the proof-system making part the formal system and ##\phi## is a wff (well formed formula) of the formal language. Note the blank on left of the turnstile symbol ##\vdash_S##, as far as I can tell it actually represents the empty set. So what does it mean ? I guess it actually means ##\phi## is a theorem of the formal system, i.e. there is a...
