Loader Boom maximum bending moment

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on calculating the maximum bending moment for a loader boom, with the user reporting a calculated value of +7208.1 daNm, which conflicts with the shear diagram. The user has successfully determined the normal and shear forces but is struggling with the bending moment calculation. There is a suggestion that the beam should have some form of support, as the forces at points A, B, D, and M are identified as reaction forces. Assistance is sought to resolve the discrepancies in the bending moment analysis. The conversation emphasizes the importance of proper support and accurate calculations in structural analysis.

TL;DR Summary: Finding maximum bending moment on a boom

I am trying to solve the problem stated in the picture below.
The answers are given.
I've manage to find the Normal and Shear Forces but I'm stuck at the bending moment.
According to my analysis the maximum bending moment is +7208,1 daNm.
This value is obviously wrong because it is not consistent with the shear diagram.

Any help would be greatly appreciated,
You can find my analysis in the attached PDF.

Shouldn't this beam be somehow supported ?

I think it is. The forces acting at A,B,D,M are all reaction forces.
