SUMMARY

This discussion focuses on finding websites or apps that feature live chat rooms related to electricity. Participants recommend Electrical Engineering StackExchange for its chat rooms, although they note that questions typically answered in forums may not receive responses there. The conversation also touches on various educational topics, including electrical circuit installation, introductory electric circuit theory, and electromagnetism, referencing textbooks such as Halliday/Resnick/Walker and Griffiths. The goal is to engage in discussions that highlight gaps in education and facilitate targeted learning.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of electrical circuit theory
  • Familiarity with electromagnetism concepts
  • Knowledge of educational resources like Halliday/Resnick/Walker and Griffiths textbooks
  • Experience with online forums and discussion platforms
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore Electrical Engineering StackExchange for live chat discussions
  • Review introductory electric circuit theory resources
  • Study intermediate-level electromagnetism using Griffiths' textbook
  • Participate in forums like Physics Forums to engage with electrical engineering topics
USEFUL FOR

related to electricity
Do you mean installing electrical circuits in your house?
Or introductory electric circuit theory as discussed in first-year university physics or electrical-engineering courses?
Or introductory electromagnetism in general (based on e.g. textbooks like Halliday/Resnick/Walker)?
Or intermediate-level E&M courses based on e.g. Griffiths?
Or what?

Or what?
I would like to see discussions in action to help me find out what holes my education might have. Then I can do specific searches/education. Also, I think it would be interesting to watch, regardless of my participation or education.
