A magnitude 6.2 earthquake occurred 286 km southwest of Bluff, New Zealand, at a depth of 10 km, on April 29, 2025, at 13:16:32 UTC. The seismic event is currently being detected in Sydney, evidenced by a significant T-phase recorded on geophones, which is typical for quakes from this region. The T-phase arrival was noted at approximately 1337 UTC. A USGS location map and Moment Tensor solution indicate the earthquake exhibited strike-slip motion. Additionally, there are observations regarding the propagation directions of water movements during the seismic event.

Quake still coming in ( at time of writing) on my seismo here in Sydney

It has a BIG T-Phase on the geophones. This is a common thing for quakes from this region arriving at approx 1337UT
