Please upload the input file as a file, the forum messes with the formatting.

I don't know 6, but if no-one else knows I'm happy to try.

Ok, few questions. What happens when you explicitly turn on the extended physics models?
Code:
MPHYS ON

You are using KCODE with no MT cards, is this intentional?

You are using a DF card with no DE card, is that intentional?

X does not produce an error, but all the source neutrons die. Which suggests a compatibility problem or a geometry error. I don't know X or 6 well enough to know which easily.

Usually the model is offered by the data table included in the list (.80c etc.) so MPHYS doesn't needed. For the MT and DE yes its intentional bcs MCNP will set it to the default for each of them. I think the problem lies in OMIT since there are other threads with similar problem.

The OMIT method does work (and does not simply omit the isotope). Right now everything feels like a fudge.

Problems first. Existing OMIT line contains an error. And also actinides. Which is a really strange thing to do. The library YUMMY is old and incomplete, especially the ENDF-V based part chosen. One of the reasons the @mhovi / @nukecore code works so well is that it let's MCNP find the libraries. It seems problems occur especially readily if MCNP cannot identify that a xx000 is a collection of isotopes and letting it roam wild seems to fix that. This may not be ideal, and may mean that the answer to an input file depends on exactly what libraries are installed, and may be even what order they are in the xsdir file...

Removing the library restrictions and the OMIT, produces the fatal error after which is this list,
Code:
The following nuclides use physics models rather than data tables:

            6014. c
            7016. c
            8018. c
            9018. c
           90234. c
           91232. c

So I construct a new OMIT line.

Code:
OMIT= -1,6,6014,7016,8018,9018,90234,91232
I like @nukecore 's -1 trick, I assume it makes it apply to all materials. I don't see this in the manual.

Running it now produces a more familiar error and it quits a lot earlier than X did.

Code:
Geometry error: no cell found.
run terminated because 10 particles got lost.

If you have a proper install of 6.2, you probably have ENDF-VII or VIII so it may be worth redoing the OMIT line, in the original one of the ZAIDs was a typo, and it was a mixture of commas and &s, which maybe it didn't like. You may also get away with specifying a library, which may let you set temperatures with less fudging. I haven't wrapped my head around the lattice, so I can't offer any help on the geometry issue right now.

Hi Alex, thank you so much for your help, now this problem finally solved and i can focus on the geometry now.

Many thanks and let me know if can help you in the future ^__^

1. What does the "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message mean?

The "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message indicates that the MCNP6 software is missing necessary models or data files in order to run the simulation. This could be due to incorrect input or missing files in the input deck.

2. How can I fix the "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message?

To fix this error, you will need to make sure that all necessary models and data files are included in the input deck. Double check that the file paths are correct and that all required files are present. You may also need to check the MCNP6 documentation for specific model requirements.

3. Can I continue the simulation even with the "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message?

No, the simulation cannot continue without the required models. The missing models may be crucial for accurate results and continuing without them could lead to unreliable data.

4. Why am I getting the "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message?

This message usually occurs due to incorrect input or missing files in the input deck. It is important to carefully review your input and make sure all necessary files are included.

5. Is there a way to prevent the "MCNP6 Fatal Error: Models required" message?

To prevent this error, it is important to carefully review and double check your input deck before running the simulation. Make sure all necessary files and models are included and that the file paths are correct. It may also be helpful to consult the MCNP6 documentation for specific model requirements.
