Automotive Need assistance in Abaqus simulation

AI Thread Summary
The discussion focuses on troubleshooting issues in a static analysis using Abaqus. The user has completed the necessary setup but is not obtaining results. Suggestions include running example problems provided with Abaqus to ensure understanding of the software's functionality. It's also recommended to simplify the analysis and pay close attention to the initial setup instructions. Finally, checking the step time settings and navigating to the end of the analysis step may reveal the missing results.

Need assistance in Abaqus. Doing static analysis....
I'm doing static analysis. I have already set up all the prerequisites, preprocessors such as material addition, sectioning, defining boundary conditions, and displacement. However, I'm not getting the results. Please suggest anything.

The last time I used Abaqus, it came with a thick book of example problems. Run some of those. Then modify an example problem. Then set up the simplest analysis that you can think of. Give particular attention to the first lines in each problem where you tell the software how to get started.

When all of those are working, you should be ready to run your actual analysis.

That’s zero increment (step time = 0). No wonder there are no results, scroll to the end of the step using arrow buttons on the top right.

Here's a video by “driving 4 answers” who seems to me to be well versed on the details of Internal Combustion engines. The video does cover something that's a bit shrouded in 'conspiracy theory', and he touches on that, but of course for phys.org, I'm only interested in the actual science involved. He analyzes the claim of achieving 100 mpg with a 427 cubic inch V8 1970 Ford Galaxy in 1977. Only the fuel supply system was modified. I was surprised that he feels the claim could have been...
Thread 'Turbocharging carbureted petrol 2 stroke engines'
Hi everyone, online I ve seen some images about 2 stroke carbureted turbo (motorcycle derivation engine). Now.. In the past in this forum some members spoke about turbocharging 2 stroke but not in sufficient detail. The intake and the exhaust are open at the same time and there are no valves like a 4 stroke. But if you search online you can find carbureted 2stroke turbo sled or the Am6 turbo. The question is: Is really possible turbocharge a 2 stroke carburated(NOT EFI)petrol engine and...
