New Haircut: Do I Look Like a Different Person Now?

A significant haircut marked a personal transformation, as the individual cut off a long ponytail, donating the 10 inches to Locks of Love. The decision stemmed from a desire for change after years of maintaining the same hairstyle, influenced by a breakup and dissatisfaction with their long hair. The new look, inspired by a celebrity style, received positive feedback from peers, who noted the transformation as a positive change. The discussion also touched on the emotional aspects of losing long hair, with humorous exchanges about the adjustment to a shorter style, hair maintenance, and the social perceptions tied to haircuts. Overall, the haircut symbolizes a fresh start and a shift in personal identity.

The hair on the back of my head has never, that I can remember, reached the neckline of a non-collared shirt.

That's because you're a Republican engineer. It's part of the dress code. I've seen the memo. :-p  It's okay, one of my best friends is a Republican ex-engineer, so even though I give you a hard time about it, it's all in fun.

It's so wierd. I'm finding out a bunch about my little nervous tics.

Apparantly, about two or three times an hour I used to reach for my brush to brush out my hair.

At least once an hour, I used to reach back to re-do the polytail.

Probably why I used to always have split ends.

Nah, I have split ends and only brush my hair twice a day. Don't know if the ponytail has anything to do with it. I've always had long hair, my whole life. I can't imagine it suddenly being gone. Seems weird. But I bet you are now done in the shower in record time! I know it takes me forever to rinse shampoo out of my hair, and then there's conditioner, which you can't live without if you have long hair.

I'm going to have to take a picture of my hair flipped over like in your before pictures and show you had frighteningly similar it looks. Then you'll feel really glad you got a masculine haircut now.

Not having a haircut in years would explain the dead ends

I once was sitting at the end of the bed where my bf was sleeping in, after we had watched the movie The Ring. He woke up and startled, thinking he saw Sadako (http://www.geocities.com/eigakai/sadako.jpg)

With all his money, you'd think he could afford a decent haircut. He's sporting a bit of a mullet in that last one. :bugeye:

Okay, I just had to show Enigma how much his old hair looks like my hair. How similar does this look to his "down 1" before photo?

Maybe, I swear to you I still see some red in there. Maybe I have a cataract or my monitor is messed up. You are beautiful either way.

I don't remember ever sleeping in a bed that had a name.

Well that explains my confusion at the time.

Actually, I've never woken up somewhere else, I'm a safe drunk. o:)

Does that mean you lure the women to your place, or they won't go out with you even when it's 3 AM, and they're drunk and still alone?

Wait, just so I don't insult anyone, let me add a few more of these:

Well, i have the problem of being something of an elitist (as if the rest of you didn't already know that), and as a result, most of the women annoy me too much for me to put up with them long enough(even drunk). (to be fair that applies to most guys as well, but with them the problem isn't as, well problematic.). I'm just not a people person in general really.

Isn't there anyone who can discuss kafka without looking like a moron? Is that so much to ask for? (yeah, i know it is, that's not the point.)

I had about 4 haircuts a year. Always took 2-5cm off the ends each time. It was the general style that never changed.
