Have you drawn the free body diagram?

yes, but I am having trouble coming up with the equations. Od you have any suggestions?

How many forces are acting on the system?
What is the mass of the system?

From your diagram, what are the forces acting on m1? And what about m2?

If m1 is accelerating at, say, a m/s^2, then what is the acceleration of m2?
