AI Thread Summary
An .MSI file is a Windows installer package, which cannot be directly opened on a Mac operating system. Users may encounter this issue if they mistakenly download the Windows version of a software package instead of the Mac version. To handle .MSI files on a Mac, one option is to use 7-zip, which can extract files from .MSI packages. An unofficial version of 7-zip is available for Mac users, allowing them to access the contents of .MSI files.

I am using a MAC and have a download with a .msi file extension. Since I do not use Microsoft for my operating system, I can't open the file. Is there a download for this that I can get to open these files?

An .MSI file is part of the software installation process for windows software.

If you are trying to install a software package, maybe you downloaded the Windows version not the Mac version?

7-zip can extract from MSI files on Windows. There is an "unofiicial" Mac version here:

Last night I had four docs with a red circle, one with blue. When I closed the blue and opened it again it was red. Today I have 3...
Thread 'ChatGPT Examples, Good and Bad'
I've been experimenting with ChatGPT. Some results are good, some very very bad. I think examples can help expose the properties of this AI. Maybe you can post some of your favorite examples and tell us what they reveal about the properties of this AI. (I had problems with copy/paste of text and formatting, so I'm posting my examples as screen shots. That is a promising start. But then I provided values V=1, R1=1, R2=2, R3=3 and asked for the value of I. At first, it said...
