SUMMARY

The discussion centers around finding an investigatory project topic in physics for a fourth-year high school student. Key interests include solid state physics, optics, and thermodynamics. A suggested project is the "Mpemba effect," which explores non-equilibrium thermodynamics and is considered relatively easy to set up. Participants emphasize the importance of specifying educational stages and interests to receive tailored suggestions.

PREREQUISITES
  • Basic understanding of solid state physics concepts, particularly crystals.
  • Familiarity with optics, specifically fiber optics.
  • Knowledge of thermodynamics principles, including superconductivity.
  • Research skills to explore the Mpemba effect and its experimental setup.
NEXT STEPS
  • Research the Mpemba effect and its implications in thermodynamics.
  • Investigate solid state physics experiments involving crystal growth.
  • Explore fiber optics applications and related experimental setups.
  • Study the principles of superconductivity and potential projects related to it.
USEFUL FOR

High school students, educators, and anyone interested in conducting physics investigatory projects, particularly in the areas of thermodynamics, solid state physics, and optics.

Please suggest some interesting, beneficial, unexpensive, economical and not-so-hard investigatory project about physics...

I need to do a research paper but i don't have a good topic yet,, please help

thanks,,

No-one can help you unless you tell us what stage of your education you're at, and perhaps something general that you are interested in.

thanks..

im a fourth year hs student,,,

interested in solid state physics(ex. crystals),, optics(ex. fiber optics),, or thermodynamics(ex. superconductivities)

i need the beneficial ones... thanks! really need this asap

The "Mpemba effect" is some pretty sweet non-equilibrium thermodynamics... which you might be able to do... I don't actually know how hard it is to set up conditions under which the experiement can be observed, but it's probably not all that difficult.

you can google it for a lot more info

pls,, i need more... thx! help me asayc...

thx to olgranpappy anyway

i really need some topics guys... please
