SUMMARY

This discussion identifies valuable video resources for learning quantum mechanics, specifically targeting materials beyond introductory content. The YouTube channel featuring Professor James Binney offers a series of lectures that delve into the mathematical foundations and physical implications of quantum mechanics, suitable for students familiar with Griffiths' level. Additionally, MIT OpenCourseWare provides video lectures for introductory quantum mechanics, although they lack interactivity. The discussion emphasizes the challenge of finding interactive resources for advanced quantum mechanics topics.

PREREQUISITES
  • Understanding of Griffiths' "Introduction to Quantum Mechanics"
  • Familiarity with basic quantum mechanics concepts
  • Knowledge of mathematical principles relevant to quantum mechanics
  • Experience with online educational platforms
NEXT STEPS
  • Explore the YouTube channel of Professor James Binney for advanced quantum mechanics lectures
  • Review MIT OpenCourseWare's introductory quantum mechanics video lectures
  • Investigate interactive learning tools for advanced quantum mechanics
  • Research additional resources that provide step-by-step problem-solving in quantum mechanics
USEFUL FOR

Students of quantum mechanics, educators seeking supplementary teaching materials, and anyone interested in deepening their understanding of advanced quantum concepts through video resources.

Hello,

I was wondering if there exists some videos that explain quantum mechanics. Something similar to Khan Academy, but that website only has introductory material. I am not looking for online lectures, but more like Khan Academy or some sort of step by step problem solving skills that is more interactive.

Thanks

I think it may be tough to find because your audience if quite small after intro QM. It may not make business sense to make available. The MIT Courseware has advanced topics, but I wouldn't say they are interactive.

To be clear, I am talking about introduction to quantum mechanics (at the level of griffiths)

MIT OCW has video lectures for its introductory QM course. I find that always makes things easier to learn.
