Reigniting Your Passion for Physics: Tips for Engineering Students

Found this forum while surfing the internet, so i decided to give it a shot :)
Im an engineering student, freshman year, but it was just recently that i discovered how much do i really love physics! (Bad schooling system, teachers never bothered to spark new thoughts,so i guess that monotony kinda killed my motivation to study physics). Anyways, I am hoping i can get a fresh start as far as physics go, so I am looking for any kind of advice that you guys/gals can provide :)

Hello everyone, I'm Cosmo. I'm an 18 years old student majoring in physics. I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
