Relation between impeller diameter and suction pipe length?

Hi all,

I want to know if impeller diameter of a Blower can influence its suction pipe length. If so, then how are they related?

That's a bit vague. Of course if you keep everything else constant, a smaller diameter impeller will produce a lower pressure difference, so would be bogged down with a longer pipe. But in reality a smaller impeller would probably be run at higher speed.
