hi,
this is the first time i am using this website and have found it very informative ao far..

so i am working on this assignment and have got stuck on this question.
the query is ..
why does static pressure vary on the surface of vehicles and how does it affect the aerodynamic characteristics of a vehicle?

can anyone help me out here??

The static pressure on a car varies for the same reason it varies on an airfoil: bernoulli's principle. As the local velocity varies, so does the local static pressure. This can in some cases cause the car to generate a small amount of lift, which in race cars is counteracted by spoilers and specific air flow channels.
