AI Thread Summary
A user is experiencing significant slowdowns and navigation issues on the AudioKarma forum, specifically after logging in. The problems include being redirected to the main page when attempting to access threads and slow or failed file uploads. These issues persist across multiple browsers, including Firefox, Chrome, and Internet Explorer. Clearing cookies and browsing history or reinstalling Firefox did not resolve the problem. The only feedback received is an error message in the JavaScript console. Suggestions for troubleshooting include checking the JavaScript console for specific errors and consulting forum administrators for assistance.

I have a strange problem. I am an active member of AudioKarma forum. 3 weeks ago, all of a sudden, the site is very slow in responding, when I try to navigate in the site, I get kick back to the main page instead of going into the thread I click. It's very slow, also, uploading failed or very slow. I did a lot of experiments these are the summary:

1) The slow down and not even able to upload a file ONLY happens AFTER I log into AudioKarma, If I log out, I can navigate around AudioKarma fast right away without closing the AudioKarma. But as soon as I log back in, problem starts again.

2) This problem is the same in Firefox, Chrome and IE, all behave the same.

3) I clear all cookies and browsing history on Firefox, it did not help. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox, it did not help.

4) The only message I got is " The server responded with an error. The error message is in the JavaScript console."

What can I do?

Thanks

Open the JavaScript console (F12 with Firefox and maybe some other browsers) and look for errors.

That is not the right tab. Check if the debugger or the console (next to the inspector) show some error.

Thread 'Urgent: Physically repair - or bypass - power button on Asus laptop'
Asus Vivobook S14 flip. The power button is wrecked. Unable to turn it on AT ALL. We can get into how and why it got wrecked later, but suffice to say a kitchen knife was involved: These buttons do want to NOT come off, not like other lappies, where they can snap in and out. And they sure don't go back on. So, in the absence of a longer-term solution that might involve a replacement, is there any way I can activate the power button, like with a paperclip or wire or something? It looks...
