TA Opportunity

  1. Mar 9, 2007 #1
    Currently I'm a second year Engineer(mech)/Science(phys + maths).

An opportunity has arisen for me to be a TA at a secondary school in the area, which will involve demonstrating some physics equipment to the students. The idea is to see if teaching physics would be a career that I might choose, and to see if I might like it. The reason I first enquired about the position was mainly for a bit of experience in physics in the workforce, not to see whether or not I would like to become a teacher. And while I can say that I probably won't become a teacher, I am still pretty pumped about this.

I don't really know why I'm writing this down (it's more just therapy!), but for those of you who have been TA's, what do you think? Can you give some thoughts about the experience?

    edit: TA= teaching assistant
