The 2014 Nobel Prize in physics

In summary, the Nobel prize in physics will be announced tomorrow, October 7. The field of the prize is still unknown, but some possible candidates include Takaaki Kajita for his discovery of neutrino oscillations, Art McDonald for his work on the SNO project, and Rubin for his work on the transistor.

Another good, and timely, reason to give them the prize.

Does anyone still use the old "heater" type Christmas lamps? I just checked, and have one set left. From the accumulated dust, it appears I haven't used them since the white LEDs hit the market.
