I am a Brazilian student, just leaving the High School at the end of the year.
I am actually at the moment, looking for a good university in the Physics and Mathematics area. I haven't decided yet, if I want to take a course in pure Physics or any Engineering. I would like very much to study in an foreign country, mostly because I want a very good, with high level students university, in those courses. I just wanted to know, which places do you recommend as easy to apply for international students, in my case, needing financial aid. It could be in or outside US. I have participated to two international events on Physics, I had already a good level on it and Maths, probably enough to apply directly to the second year depending on the university I choose.
Thank you very much for your attention.

AronH the two universities that I have come across that appreciate international students are: florida international university (more or less latin america's university) and florida institute of technology. I think Harvard is known to give really good scholarships with good SAT scores.

I don't know if it is possible to get into the sophomore year straight out of high school.

Hello there, as an international student myself, I understand your desire to study in a foreign country and experience new cultures. There are several universities that are known for their excellent programs in Physics and Mathematics, both in the US and outside of it. One option could be the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in the US, which is renowned for its strong STEM programs and offers financial aid to international students. Another option could be the University of Cambridge in the UK, which also has a strong reputation for its Physics and Mathematics programs and offers scholarships for international students. Other universities to consider include ETH Zurich in Switzerland and the University of Tokyo in Japan.

It's great that you have already participated in international events and have a good level in Physics and Maths. This will definitely help in your application process. I would recommend researching each university's specific requirements for international students and their financial aid options. Also, consider reaching out to their international student offices for more information and guidance.

Best of luck in your search and I hope you find the perfect university for your academic goals! Studying abroad is a valuable experience that will not only enhance your education but also broaden your perspective and personal growth. Don't hesitate to reach out for any further advice or assistance.
