AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on drawing the Lewis structure for BCl3 with an unsatisfied octet for boron and then with a satisfied octet. The original poster expresses confusion about how to complete the task, particularly regarding the notation used. There is uncertainty about whether "BCl-negative3" refers to BCl3, suggesting potential miscommunication in the homework statement. The poster seeks assistance in understanding how to approach the problem. Clarification on the notation and guidance on drawing the Lewis structures is requested.
