AI Thread Summary
The discussion centers on the potential uses for a large collection of Beanie Babies, with a focus on their declining resale value. While some participants express frustration over the perceived wastefulness of the Beanie Baby craze, others suggest alternative uses. Selling them as chew toys for dogs is dismissed due to concerns about their materials. A more positive suggestion is donating them to children's hospitals or orphanages, which some participants find appealing. The conversation also humorously entertains the idea of using them in a trebuchet, highlighting the absurdity of the situation. Overall, the thread reflects a mix of nostalgia, frustration, and creative thinking regarding the fate of unwanted Beanie Babies.

Other than burning them to make a little steam to generate a small amount of electricity, is there anything useful you can do with a thousand Beanie Babies? I mean, you can't sell these things anymore, can you?

Ugh, one of my pet peeves! What a useless waste of money! And seemingly normal and intelligent people fell for the whole scheme (makes me embarrassed for my gender that were, I think, all female ), and actually thought that they would be valuable some day. What a crock!

There are actually still stores around here that have "One Purchase Per Customer Per Day!". Puh-leeze .

Just sell them as chew toys for dogs.
