I have a 3 phase 3 pole inductive motor with a VFD that is tripping the breker even before it ramps up. The breaker is set to allow its inrush current without tripping.

There is about 400 feet of wire between this motor and its busbar.

After a load filter was installed for this motor, there have been no problems with it.

If this load filter a power correcting device? Is the reason the motor was tripping that the apparent power on the return part of the sin wave exceeding the breakers trip limit?

I don't know what you mean by load filter.

You need to provide a schematic of the entire setup, including load, filter and trip sensors before we could give a definitive answer.
