Automotive Websites for getting datasheets for Ford 220HP engine sensors?

AI Thread Summary
Finding datasheets for Ford 220HP engine sensors, such as cam and crank sensors, can be challenging as these documents are often proprietary to Ford and not publicly available. OEMs typically do not publish detailed specifications for their custom parts, making it difficult to obtain this information. Users may need to identify the original sensor manufacturers and their part numbers for better chances of finding relevant datasheets. Reverse engineering may be necessary if the specific data is not accessible. Ultimately, the need for these datasheets should be clarified, as alternatives may exist for non-Ford applications.

Can anyone suggest sites for getting datasheets of ford engine 220hp sensors (sensor datasheets). Like cam sensors, crank sensor etc.

@jack action do you have a good source for this type of info?

What are you wanting to do with these datasheets? Re-program your ECU or something?

This may be nearly impossible if those parts are custom made for Ford. The datasheet is likely a Ford document. Even if they don't think it's a trade secret, they have no reason to publish them. This is a really common way for OEMs to specify their parts, even if they are virtually the same as one that has published data sheets. The answer will lie in figuring out the sensor manufacturer and their part numbers. You most likely will have to reverse engineer these.

I am also curious to know why you need to know. If you are trying to find a sensor for some job not related to a Ford motor, there are other alternatives. You won't get much from the OEM. In this case the assumption can be made that the spec ends right where it is no longer useful to Ford in the specific application.

Posted June 2024 - 15 years after starting this class. I have learned a whole lot. To get to the short course on making your stock car, late model, hobby stock E-mod handle, look at the index below. Read all posts on Roll Center, Jacking effect and Why does car drive straight to the wall when I gas it? Also read You really have two race cars. This will cover 90% of problems you have. Simply put, the car pushes going in and is loose coming out. You do not have enuff downforce on the right...
I'm trying to decide what size and type of galvanized steel I need for 2 cantilever extensions. The cantilever is 5 ft. The space between the two cantilever arms is a 17 ft Gap the center 7 ft of the 17 ft Gap we'll need to Bear approximately 17,000 lb spread evenly from the front of the cantilever to the back of the cantilever over 5 ft. I will put support beams across these cantilever arms to support the load evenly
Thread 'What's the most likely cause for this carbon seal crack?'
We have a molded carbon graphite seal that is used in an inline axial piston, variable displacement hydraulic pump. One of our customers reported that, when using the “A” parts in the past, they only needed to replace them due to normal wear. However, after switching to our parts, the replacement cycle seems to be much shorter due to “broken” or “cracked” failures. This issue was identified after hydraulic fluid leakage was observed. According to their records, the same problem has occurred...
