Hello,

My name is Jean-Philippe, I am a 23 years old student from Switzerland (I speak french). In a few years I will be a lawyer, which has nothing to do with physics^^

But in my freetime I spend a lot reading about latest discoveries, calculating gravity assists for space travel, optimizing deltaV, and so one. I am mainly interested in astrophysics and everything related to it and that you need to take into account to keep your crew alive :)

I am slowly learning and taking steps in this area, and while browsing for answers I ended up in this forum, and it's like Christmas everyday now!

I found this forum cause I was searching on Google if it's common for physics student to feel like they're in the wrong major in the first semester cause it feels like too much for me to learn the materials even the ones that are considered as "basic math" or "basic physics", I've initial fascination with the universe's mysteries and it disconnect with the reality of intense, foundational mathematics courses required...
