Can anyone out there give me some examples of Newtons 1st law?

Newton's First Law states that an object in motion remains in motion in a straight line, and an object at rest remains at rest unless acted upon by an external force. Examples provided include swinging a rock tied to a string, where the rock travels in a curve due to the applied force and then moves in a straight line upon release. Additionally, throwing a rock into the air demonstrates the law, as it returns to the ground due to gravitational force acting on it. Understanding these principles is essential for grasping the concept of inertia and the conditions under which forces act on objects.
PREREQUISITESStudents studying physics, educators teaching Newton's Laws, and anyone interested in understanding the fundamental principles of motion and forces.

More seriously though, take the rock and tie some string to it, go away from anything you don't want broken and swing the rock around in an arc, feel the rock pull at your hand? that's you supplying a force so that the rock travels in a curve instead of a straight line...now watch the rock carefully because you're going to release it and watch it fly, not out away from your hand but perpendicular to the curve where you let it go, and it goes in a straight line.
